Approaching Dreams

There is a waking state of our consciousness, just as there is a deep sleep state. We can identify a conscious mind, a subconscious mind, and a super conscious mind. Our conscious mind functions like a filter. When memories passes through this filter, they become part of the subconscious. Hypnosis is one way through which the subconscious mind is accessible to you and dreams are the other means of accessing the subconscious. In the dream state we are not aware that we are dreaming, but they give us signals relating to that.

THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH A DREAM IS TO LIVE THAT DREAM IN THE WAKING STATE.

For example, in our of your dreams  you find yourself extremely lonely with nobody to care for you. You may see a lonely buffalo in a barren landscape all by itself. Dramatising the dream means enacting the dream in the conscious state. The lonely buffalo may be suggesting that you be more sensitive and connect to people. It is a fact that the people are lonely because they don't connect to their family, relatives, etc. They don't have the courage to break up the shell of seclusion they have built around themselves. If you decode your dream of the lonely buffalo, you will realise that it's an invitation for you to break up the shell.

There is a traditional way to prepare your mind before going to sleep to receive dreams and signals during sleep. Try to recollect all that happened from the morning till then, go over your experience of your day and re-frame them with deep positivity. Then go over the previous days as best as you can. Your mind is now in a spiritual state, and this is sadhna that takes your mind to a greater degree of sharpness.
